Borough Council moves to new civic offices with high-performance, highly-secure network access
Eastleigh Borough Council is a forward looking innovative local authority which strives to provide a range of comprehensive services to its customers and stakeholders. In order to meet with strict performance, reliability and security mandates, the Council opted for a wired HP network and wireless Meru network solution from ADA Networks.
Brand new civic offices required a high-performance, secure and resilient wired and wireless network infrastructure that would meet with strict government security mandates.
Opened discussions with numerous resellers and received proposals offering solutions from various technology vendors. After short-listing to 3 preferred proposals a formal invitation-to-tender was issued.
Meets with all network-level resiliency requirements. Simple to manage ensuring smooth continuation of IT operations. Meets with mandatory security requirements that enable access to Government Secure Intranet (GSI).
High-performance wireless access available throughout Civic Hall premises. Highly-available network infrastructure ensures continuity of critical council operations.
"I think the proposed solution from ADA Networks was pitched at the right level with details reflecting our actual requirements. This ensured we knew how the solution would work and could see the long-term benefits. Most of the competitor’s proposals were vague outlines of advertising text and had no relation to our environment.
Since installation, the support services provided by ADA Networks have ensured the continued smooth running of our IT Operations at a time when major changes are occurring on a regular basis."
